Ugandan celebrities are panicking over a new wave of hacking spree that has hit their social media accounts.

The hackers are demanding for $4000 in bitcoins fro different celebrities.

Just hours after Zari Hassan lost her account to hackers who were demanding $4000, Comedian Anne Kansiime’s account has also been hacked and they want the same amount.

Taking to YouTube, the popular comedian posted a message saying that someone hacked her and demanded the money.

She got a call from a friend who informed her of the funny activity in her account

“Yesterday someone hacked into my Instagram account. My Instagram handle was @Kansiime 256 and I had over 250,000 followers. I got a call from a friend asking what was wrong with my account. I get my phone, went to the account and it was showing me zero followers, I’m following zero people and even the profile picture is gone” She said on her YouTube channel.

Being a well sort after comedian, Kansiime said the hacking was a big blow for her since she uses her account to make money.

“I was so scared, my arms were shaking I was sweating, I couldn’t believe I had zero followers on Instagram.” she said.  “Let’s have some mercy we know you came to steal kill and destroy but at least leave me my pictures. I found my account a virgin account, it’s like they got it to factory settings.” She added

On the other hand the hackers who took over Zari’s account have been using it to post photos of her and Diamond in compromising situations and also posted her arch rival Hamisa Mobetto.

Kenyan actress and singer has opened up about not wanting to have children after being nagged by people on social media.

Speaking on social media, Karen Lucas popularly known as Kaz, shared that people always question her decision whenever she reveals her lack of desire to have kids.

“People really struggle to understand me when I say I don’t want children. I love all the children around me that all my people have already blessed me with,” she said on her Instagram account

The actress went on to say that she is okay with those who would like to have kids but for her she has made her decision.

“But it’s also ok for people not to want children or the things you think women need to have based on your narrow social construct mind.” She added

Kaz urged people to stop pressuring others to have kids especially when they may not understand their situation or reason.

“Not everyone wants the same things.which is why we can be different. not everyone is capable of having children, so next time you feel the need to pressure ask someone about the decisions they make with their bodies, just remember the world doesn’t revolve around your ideals,” She said

Diaamond bought the two artistes, Mbosso and Lavalava the cars saying they deserved it since they’ve been working hard in the industry.

The band consisting of Brian Chweya, Maureen Kunga and Wambui Ngungi had announced that they will be returning to music via their Instagram page sometime back.

Ugandan socialite cum business woman Zari Hassan suprised many of her fans when she sent a warm birthday message to Hamisa Mobetto’s son Dylan.

Dylan celebrated his first birthday on Wednesday 8th August and both Hamisa and Diamond shared lovely photos of their son captioned with sweet messages.

Speaking during an interview on NBC television in Uganda, Zari wished Hamisa Mobetto’s son a happy birthday apologizing also for her fans who constantly attack the child.

“Most of the comments that I see you are being tormented because you happened in that way, you didn’t want to happen, you just found yourself here so it wasn’t entirely your false. So happy birthday,”she said

She also asked her fans to stop attacking the baby saying he is innocent.

Kenyan music Icon Hubert Nakitare popularly known as Nonini has resigned from his powerful government position months after being appointed.

On Thursday, Nonini handed in his resignation as the Chairman of Performers Rights Society of Kenya (PRISK).

Nonini took to his social media pages to shares the news of his resignation stating he had decided to part ways with PRISK on what he termed as the board going against the conditions set by its regulator the Kenya Copyright Board (KECOBO).

“Today I have officially resigned as Chairman of @priskkenya and above is my resignation letter. We have a regulator @kenyacopyrightboard who issues our licenses to collect and has set out clear conditions we collect jointly with @kamp_kenya @priskkenya & @mpakenyaWhen a board I chair goes against the conditions set by our regulator that means they are going against the government and I will not be party to such.” He wrote

Fans of the Unbwogable hit makers Gidi Gidi Maji Maji will be treated to thrilling concert by the duo courtesy of Safaricom’s Twaweza live.

The duo was last seen in concert together during the Kenya at fifty celebrations back in 2013 prior to which they had not hit the stage in over ten years.

Speaking to Maji Maji, he said that a comeback is not yet confirmed but there has been a lot of pressure from fans and producers alike to make a grand comeback.

The duo will hit the stage again on 25th August at Kisumu sports ground and have promised fans an epic performance.

“The performance will be big, fans should expect Gidi gidi Maji Maji like never before this time its going to be a duo that has matured and is more refined like fine wine.” Said Maji Maji

It is not yet clear whether the duo will be hitting the studio again soon but for now fans can be assured of an epic reunion.

Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino has launched a football tournament in his constituency to help nurture talent among the youth.
elicited mixed reactions after posting pictures on his social media pages showing off his football prowess.
The MP who launched the tournament dubbed Super Cup at Jacaranda grounds on Tuesday 7, 2018, said the initiative was aimed to provide an opportunity for the youth to showcase their talents in football.
“I would like to thank everyone who attended Babu Owino Super Cup tournament launch at Jacaranda grounds today. It is my belief that this initiative will provide an opportunity for our brothers and sisters in Embakasi East to show case their talents,” he said
While talking about progress in his constituency, Babu said he would like to end water shortage, unemployment and providing care for the aged in the next two years.

“I would like to finish all my work as your member of parliament in the next two years, the youth will get jobs, the aged will be well taken care of, roads will be made and water shortage sorted in two years so I can spend the remaining two years relaxing.” He said
Babu also promised to launch a project that will build and nature upcoming artistes in a competition that will see ten upcoming artistes receive a recording deal.
The member of parliament also promised to take up the land dispute involving Jacaranda grounds and other demolitions in Emabakasi east.
“Whoever will come in a tractor to demolish houses in Embakasi east is the one we will deal with till they leave Embakasi East alone.” He added

Cooperates and students across Nairobi enjoyed a fun filled day during the August edition of the Genderthon challenge organized by Center for Rights Education and Awareness.

The fun filled event saw many adults bring out their inner child by taking part in some of their favorite games from back in the day like Kati, Bladder and bano.

Genderthon 2018 also gave an opportunity to the participants to enjoy an outdoor fitness challenge courtesy of Smart gyms Kenya.

The event engaged participants in games like the wall of doom, mud crawl, hanging ropes, suck race and tyre balancing.

Ghetto radio crew took part in the entire event and successfully scaling to the semi finals where they were the only media house competing against Power 254, Shreds 48, chamilionaires and Wasanii wa sanaa.

Wasanii team emerged the event winners taking home a total of seventy five thousand shillings followed by Chamillionaires who grabbed fifty thousand and Pawa 254 at position three winning twenty five thousand.

The gendertthon challenge which is its third year aims at bringing men and women together in a fitness filled fun event in order to address matters gender balance.

Sauti Sol’s guitarist Polycarp Otieno popularly known as Fancy fingers tied the knot this past weekend in Burundi.

Polycarp and his girlfriend Lady Mandy who hails from Burundi have been dating for the past five years.

The couple solemnized their union in a stunning traditional wedding ceremony held in Burundi.

News of their wedding was shared on Instagram by former Sauti Sol publicist Anyiko Owoko.

Business woman and socialite Zari Hassan’s Instagram account was hacked last week on the same day she was celebrating her daughter’s birthday.

The hackers had demanded four thousand dollars in bitcoins as ransom for her account.

Just days after the hacking incident, Zari has managed to secure the arrest of the man who allegedly hacked her account.

According to reports, a Ugandan man known as Jemba Farid Gilbert or Omo Dada was behind the hack.

Omo is said to have helped Zari’s account to get verification and therefore knew the account details.

Uganda Online reported that Zari Hassan’s investigations led to Farid who has always had access to her social media accounts

After his arrest, Farid denied hacking the account saying that he has always had the log in details given to him by Zari herself.

He spent two days in police custody before he was released on bond.

According to police spokesperson, Luke Oweyesigyire who confirmed the arrest, Farid’s laptop and cell phones were confiscated to help with investigations.

Days after hinting that he is considering becoming a priest, controversial gospel singer Ringtone yesterday showed up in church dressed in a priest’s garment.

The singer, who was accompanied by his security detail, caused a stir as he took to the pew wearing a white robe and a cross, religious symbols associated with the Catholic faith.

“I really don’t have a lot to say. I just came to worship,” he said when interviewed by reporters

Just days ago the singer revealed that he had “received God’s call to minister His word”. He was then spotted in what appeared to be clerical clothing as he headed to Kisii County for a relative’s funeral.

“I am considering becoming a priest. I am sort of practicing…” he said

Ugandan singer and Member of Parliament, Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine’s driver was allegedly shot dead by Police on Monday night in his car while in Arua District.

The Kyadondo East Member of Parliament shared the sad news via his social media pages stating that he was the target of the police bullets.

In the photo shared by Bobi Wine, the Driver identified as Yasin Kawuma Mugerwa is seen lying in the car lifelessly with blood all over his Body.

Bobby also said that his hotel room was ransacked by police officers.

According to a local Tabloid The Observer in Uganda, there are contradicting reports about how the driver was killed.

Government officials claim that chaos sparked off after Wadri and Bobi Wine’s supporters attacked the convoy of President Yoweri Museveni.

Senior press secretary, Don Wanyama tweeted a photo of one of Museveni’s supposedly bullet-proof car with a shattered rear window.

Wanyama accused opposition supporters of causing the damage.

Kenyan dance crew FBI once again lifted the Kenyan flag high at the annual World Hip Hop dance championship.

The team has been in Phoenix, Arizona from 5^th August battling out for the title of the best hip hop dancers.

The crew, consisting of eight members made it to the finals out of the competing eighty teams bringing home the best Cultural Act tittle.

Argentina’s CBaction took first place followed by Da’ Republik from Dominican Republic and the Peepz from Philippines.

FBI had the best in the cultural category once again carrying the Kenyan flag high.

In 2015 FBI made international history after winning the‘Make The World Dance’ competition in France.

The dancers moved the judges to tears with their winning dance which told the story of the Garissa terror attack that left 147 people dead.

The comedian, who landed in New York a few days ago is in the US for his annual comedy tour.

The comedian had apparently even hired an electric bilboard to advertise his services.
