Actor Davis Mwambili popularly known as inspekta Mwala may face up to one year in prison after killing a pedestrian last month.

The actor had been charged with dangerous driving after he hit a man in Kaloleni, Kilifi county on the night of August 26th.

The actor has now been fined ksh. 30,000 or face a jail term of one year.

“The offense of causing death by dangerous driving is not an ordinary offense. The people that commit this offense do not have a propensity for it, neither is it a crime committed for revenge, gain, lust or to emulate other criminals.

In those circumstances, the accused is sentenced to pay a fine of Sh30, 000 in default, serve 1-year imprisonment,” the senior principal magistrate ruled

Mwala also apologized to the family saying he had not intended to cause the accident.

“I am very sorry. I also ask for forgiveness from the family of the deceased. I had not planned to cause the accident. I had no intention to kill, save that an accident occurred and I cannot have left where I was to go and cause the accident,” he said

Police reported that the accident occurred when the actor tried to overtake an oncoming car and veered off the road hitting the 35 year old man.

According to international press, the singer is currently embroiled in a trademark war with a wedding planner over the name Blue Ivy.

The wedding planner, Wendy Morales owns an events planning company with the same name.

Beyoncé now claims people will get confused between her company and her daughter.

According to court documents, Beyoncé claimed that she should be allowed to trademark her daughter’s name as she is cultural icon.

“Consumers are likely to be confused between a boutique wedding event planning business and Blue Ivy Carter, the daughter of two of the most famous performers in the world, is frivolous and should be refused in its entirety.” reads part of the documents

Beyoncé also threw shades at Morales, saying she runs a small business, with just three regional offices and a handful of employees adding that Morale’s company has a weak online platform.

Controversial pastor James Ng’anga of Neno Evangelism Church has responded after being trolled by American rapper Snoop Dogg.

Global Youth Groove are this year’s Kenyan representative at the #Jamafest2019 currently being held in Tanzania. The event kicked off on 21^st and scheduled to go on until 28^th September In Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.

According to official Jamafest website, the event’s theme this year is Cultural Diversity: A key Driver to regional interrogation, Economic growth and Promotion of Tourism. The Festival is featuring a carnival, art exhibitions, a symposium, live performances, films, literary works, a fashion show and tradition games

So how did GYG Band become Kenya’s representatives at the festivals? “The Director & CS for culture from Kakamega County came to audition our band at Masinde Muliro University and got impressed, so other officials got invited from Nairobi Presidential Press Music Commission and Ministry of Culture and they too were also impressed. This led to our band being picked to perform at the festivals. – Stated Sammy Lutomia, GYG founder.

“It’s humbling to see the GYG Band representing Kenya at the JAMAFEST. This is the first time our band is performing outside Kenya and as the saying goes, A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. The East African Community Arts and Culture Festival, popularly known as Jumuiya ya Africa Mashariki Utamaduni Festival (JAMAFEST) came to life after the EAC Council of Ministers in September 2011 directed the EAC Secretariat to organize regular festivals of the kind, and Rwanda was consequently selected to host the first edition of the Festival in 2013, with Kenya hosting the 2015 edition and Uganda the 2017 edition

It aims to promote socio-cultural integration through arts and culture by providing a platform to showcase culture as a primary driver of regional integration.

Global Youth Groove is a non-profit organization that enhances and broadens the musical abilities of the youth. Currently with a Community Centre in Kakamega, the space enables the youths to develop their musical talents by giving them access to musical instruction, various musical instruments and music technology.

The socialite had been rushed to the hospital after developing breathing problems and appealed to her fans to help her raise the medical bill.

In a recent post, the socialite revealed that while appealing for the medical help she wrote one wrong digit in her number.

Her fans then ended up sending money to a wrong number and when she reached out to the lady in question, she refused to send her the money.

“I made a mistake fam.. my number is 0725963560. If you sent money to 0725973560 then kindly do reverse it and send it to my number… The lady has refused to send money she insists people that sent to reverse…” she said.

The socialite is now appealing to her fans not to send any more money to the said number.

Keroche breweries heiress Anerlisa Muigai may just be considering moving to Tanzania permanently.

The Nero Water C.E.O recently revealed that her hubby, singer Ben Pol has been trying to convince her to move to his home country but she is still not sure if she wants to do so.

“My baby has been trying to convince me all day to move to Tanzania permanently but I am not sure how possible that would be,” she said

After her post, a fan took to the comment section to caution her against the move saying that will be her downfall.

The fan identified as Tolil Atieno, cautioned Anerlisa against abandoning her businesses to start afresh in Tanzania.
