Gospel Singer Found Dead in prison Cell

Gospel Singer Kizito Mihigo has been found dead in mysterious circumstances.

The singer who hails from Rwanda was found dead in his prison cell following his arrest earlier this month.

Mihigo was arrested in 2014 and charged with plotting to kill the president and top government leaders.

He was later pardoned before being re-arrested again this month.

According to the Rwandese police spokesperson, the singer was found hanging in his cell.

“He was found hanging by an officer in the morning on Monday. He used the bed sheets that he was sleeping on to hang himself. Preliminary investigations show that he hanged himself on the window of his cell, but more investigations are being conducted, investigation is underway to establish reasons that pushed him to kill himself” Ms. Marie Michelle Umuhoza

Celebrities turn up for Papa Dennis’ Memorial service

A host of celebrities turned up to eulogize fallen gospel star Papa Dennis during memorial service held at Nairobi Chapel on Monday.

Starehe MP Charles Kanyi aka Jagua, Grandpa Records CEO Refigah, Gloria Muliro, DJ Euphoric, DK Kwenye Beat, DJ Mo, Ringtone, Mr Seed and actress Martha Wanjero (Papa Dennis’ girlfriend) were among those in attendance.

Papa Dennis’ brother Simon Mwangi used his late brother’s song dubbed ‘Nashukuru’  released in 2018 to eulogize his late twin.

Papa Dennis’ girlfriend Martha Wanjero termed the late singer as an important part of her life that she has now lost.

 

Speaking at the funeral, Jaguar urged artistes to invest their earnings instead of rushing to live lavishly and squandering their earnings.

He also pledged to help the family in burial preparations.

Papa Dennis’ body will be transported to Tala today ahead of  his burial which will be held on Wednesday.

Nyashinski Responds to allegations that his wife is expecting

Singer Nyashinski has finally broken his silence following allegations that his wife Zia Bett is expectant.

A fake twitter account masquerading as the singer tweeted claiming that the couple is set to welcome their first born soon.

“My wife and I expecting our firstborn in a few weeks time. I am gonna be a daddy soon,” read the tweet

The singer shared a screenshot of the tweet simply captioning it “Clown”

Nyashinski and Zia held their traditional wedding in November last year at her home in Nandi.

Gospel industry’s power couple Size 8 and DJ Mo made headlines after announcing their Valentine’s day dinner plans a few weeks ago.

The event which was dubbed ‘Dine with the Murayas’ left tongues wagging with many people arguing that it was too expensive.

The Murayas were charging Sh 7,000 for regular tickets per couple and Sh 10,000 for VIP tickets inclusive of a Four course meal Dinner.

Days after the event went down, a curious fan took to social media to question how much the Murayas made from the gig.

The fan identified as Martin commented on one of the gospel deejay’s  posts asking how much they made.

“Hapa mlibank pesa ngapi?” asked the fan

Deejay Mo then gave a savage response asking the fan to mind his own business.

Konde boy treated himself to a huge elephant trunk tattoo on his back courtesy of Kenyan tattoo artist Freddy.

Konde boy flew the tattoo artist to Dar Es salaam to get the job done.

On Tuesday, Konde Boy unleashed photos showing his back covered with the ink, and elicited mixed reactions from his fans.

A section of netizens are convinced he is copying his former boss who Diamond who recently tattooed a Lion’s face on the back of his hand to symbolize his nick name ‘Simba’

Konde boy who in recent times has been nicknamed ‘Tembo’ (Elephant) also decided to ink a symbol of his nickname on his back.

WCB Signee Rayvanny acquired a new aka dubbed “Chui”, Diamond calls himself Simba, Young Dee nicknamed himself Paka rapper and now we have Harmonize as Tembo.

Colonel Mustafa, Noti Flow back together months after Nasty break up

Just a few months after controversial couple Colonel Mustafa and Noti Flow broke up, they have rekindled their old flame.

The two made headlines in December 2019 after calling out each other during interviews following their break up.

In one of her online posts, Noto Flow accused Mustafa of being gay and even alleged that he lives with a man in Utawala.

This was after former Nairobi diaries actor Trap King Chrome also leveled the same accusations against Mustafa.

Mustafa on the other hand accused Noti Flow of being a drama queen, saying that she bit him at one point.

He added that Noti Flow had taken hold of his social media account and deleted everything.

However it seems the two can’t keep off each other and have decided to give their relationship a second shot.

In a recent post, it seems that Mustafa finally got back his account.

He shared a post with Noti Flow seated by the pool and captioned it “Today was a good day”

Ghetto Radio Chit Chat reached out to Mustafa and he confirmed that they are in deed back together.

This is not the first time the two celebrities have broken up and made up in a few months.

Masterpiece clears the air on why he referred to Bahati as ‘Ibilisi”

Just a day after gospel star Emanuel King popularly known as Masterpiece called out EMB boss Bahati, he has come out to clear the air.

According to Masterpiece he was friends with the EMB boss before they fell out in December 2018.

Masterpice who was interviewed by a local publication, said that he fell out with Bahati  the same day Mr. Seed did.

“Bahati was my guy, but we no longer are. Some things happened, he called me for a show in 2018 during the new year’s eve.I had three shows on that day, in Makueni, Nairobi, and Thika. After leaving makueni, i immediately left the stage i took my car drove out at a high speed and left for thika.I risked a lot that night only to be told that bahati told his bodyguard to tell us our show had been canceled. I did not expect such a thing from him. He had an issue with mr. Seed on the same night so i left and went for another show in town.” He said

Masterpiece  in a viral video said the EMB boss is ill-hearted and went on to refer to the record label as a hotel.

“Ati umesema hupendi hii song ya Bahati? Huyu msanii ako gospel nusu,” asked a friend to which Masterpiece responded with  “Huyo ndio nani?… Huyo ni ibilisi ako na roho chafu kama duster,EMB, Hio ni Hoteli, watu wanaingia, wanakula na wanatoka.” he said

Tanasha Donna finally releases collabo featuring Diamond

Former media personality Tanasha Donna has dropped a brand new song featuring her son’s father, Bongo star Diamond Platnumz.

There couple had earlier hinted that they are working on a collabo together.

The song which premiered on Youtube on Wednesday morning, already has well over 100k views on Youtube.

The first time her fans got to hear the song was when Tanasha launched her EP (Extended Play) dubbed #DonnaTellaEP at the Sarit Centre Expo Center a few weeks back.

The song was initially thought to be Tanasha’s but a spot check on Youtube shows that the song was uploaded via Diamond’s Youtube channel and not Tanasha’s.

The song dubbed ‘Gere’ (Jealousy) mocks the multitudes that have been against the two artistes’ relationship.

In the song Tanasha cautions Diamond from cheating and tells the other ladies to keep away from him since the WCB Boss is her man.

Diamond then sings about his plans to settle down with Tanasha following his mum’s advice.

U.K based rapper Lukman Odunaike, better known by his stage name Not3s has announced that he will be in the country in April.

The singer-songwriter and actor took to social media to hype his Kenyan fans ahead of his concert in the country in April.

“Coming Kenya, Nairobi in April just after my Bday. Who’s in Kenya” he said

However as it seems, not so many people know who the singer cum rapper is.

Not3s who is of Nigerian decent is famed for his songs ‘My lover’ and ‘Fine’

Netizens thronged the 21 year old rapper’s twitter feed to ask who he was and why he will be in the country.

Gospel artiste Papa Dennis has been laid to rest at his parents’ home in Matunda, Likuyani constituency, Kakamega County.

The singer who died two weeks ago was eulogized by many who attended the funeral as a humble man.

Unlike the funeral service which was held at Nairobi Chapel on Monday, most celebrities did not make to attend Papa Dennis’ final send off.

Gospel artistes like Daddy Owen, Ringtone Apoko, Gloria Muliro, Mash Mjukuu, the owner of the studio where Papa Dennis spent his last moment and Mr. Seed were in attendance.

The funeral was also thronged with a huge crowd of fans from Kakamega County.

Papa Dennis was found dead along Pangani area in unclear circumstances.

Ugandan Singer attacked by Mob in South Africa

Ugandan singer Pallaso has been hospitalized after being attacked by a mob in South Africa.

The singer who is Jose Chameleone’s younger brother revealed that he was driving in the company of a friend when a mob of around 100 people attacked them.

In an earlier Facebook live, Pallaso revealed that he is not even aware of his friend’s whereabouts following the incident.

“They beat me up real bad. I fell down, I was stabbed. As I tried to run I was hit by a car. I tried to ask for help from the owner of the car but he just drove off so I kept running with people chasing me with machetes. They pulled my hair and beat me up. Xenophobia is real. I am not sure I’ll leave this place alive because I’m still in hiding. Am currently hiding in a garage at a school. Please pray for me, I need help,” he said in the Facebook live video

The singer travelled to South Africa a few days ago for a concert and video shoot.

Pallaso’s management issued a statement on Thursday morning saying he is safe and receiving treatment at the moment.

“Thank y’all our Fans Worldwide for the concern and prayers 🙏🙏🙏 We would like to inform you that our artist PALLASO has been located and rescued and at the Hospital however his condition is still very bad keep him in your prayers 🙏🙏🙏🙏A Big Thank Mc Norman for the support and to the South African High Commission for also following up on this” read the statement.

Rapper Shot Dead by Thugs in Home Invasion

Fast rising American rapper Bashar Barakah Jackson popularly known as Pop Smoke is dead.

The rapper was was killed during a home invasion his Hollywood Hills, California, residence early Wednesday February 19th.

His death comes barely a week after dropping his sophomore mix tape.

The 20 year old Brooklyn rapper was one of the rising sensations in the New York drill scene with hits like “Dior” and “Welcome To The Party.”

According to reports from Law enforcement, two heavily armed men broke into the rapper’s home at approximately 4:30 AM on Wednesday.

The two men reportedly fired off several shots striking Pop Smoke.

The rapper was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in West Hollywood.

Tanasha Donna and Diamond’s song hit with major controversy

Barely two days after East Africa’s most talked about couple Diamond Platnumz and Tanasha Donna dropped their collaboration, the song has already ignited controversy.

The song dubbed ‘Gere’ which now enjoys 2.1 million views on Youtube is said to have been lifted from a Brazilian artist.

Netizens are now convinced Tanasha copied her video style from a Brazilian artist known as  Iza who sings in Portuguese.

Iza’s song Brisa premiered on Youtube on April 18th 2019 and currently enjoys 83 million views on Youtube.

A spot check on Youtube however shows that the two videos only have one similar set up.

The scene in question features Tanasha and her dancers dancing in front of a grass-thatched shak which also features on Iza’s song.

This is not Diamond’s first video to be rocked with controversy. In February 2019, the WCB CEO and Rayvvany were again accused of copy pasting scenes from an American song called See You again by Tyler the creator in their video Tetema

Is Diamond Platnumz the King of Copy and Paste?

As a result of the controversy Brazilian netizens have thronged the comment section on Tanasha’s song with each giving their opinion.

Rapper Cashy Karimi has for the first time opened up about her struggle with parenthood.

According to the singer who once dated Khaligraph Jones, she has been having issues with her baby daddy.

In a post shared on her Instagram account, Cashy revealed how at times she has found herself in tears because of dealing with her baby daddy.

“I cried for 3 hours before this picture was taken, but who posts pictures of their tears?… lol I cried because I feel very deeply for the wellbeing and future of my son. As a mom, I battle sooo much with anxiety and then pride, especially when it comes to dealing with an absent ‘other parent’. It gets overwhelming, and I think moms/dads are superheroes for handling their own emotions.. while still being fully present for their kids and being kickass cool parents.” she said

Sol Generation’s First Lady Crystal leaves the label

Sol Generation’s first lady Crystal Asige has left the record label barely a year after signing with them.

Crystal worked with Sol generation in jams like Extravaganza and Ukiwa mbali.

Speaking to a local publication, Sauti Sol’s lead singer Bien-Aime Baraza revealed that Crystal parted ways with the label following some complications.

“We are not working with crystal anymore and this came with a lot of complications. It was an amicable break and we are glad we gave her a platform.” He said

Bien further revealed that the dispute was eventually solved “The dispute was amicably solved and we are glad we worked together for the one year and at least people know Crystal now”

It is not yet clear when Crystal exited the label and she is yet to release a statement about her exit.

Crystal was signed under Sol Generation last year as the only female artiste alongside BenSoul, Kaskazini  and Nviiri.

The truth about Singer Pallaso’s Xenophobic attack in South Africa (Video)

Earlier this week, Ugandan singer Pallaso was hospitalized following a xenophobic attack in South Africa.

The singer took to social media to narrate how he had been attacked while in the company of a friend.

Following the news of his attack, several gossip sites alleged that he had faked the xenophobic attack and that he was beated by a jilted man whose wife he was hooking up with.

Pallaso who is singer Jose Chameleone’s younger brother has come out to rubish the allegations saying they were attacked when they pulled up to get some food.

Pallaso also called on Africans to stand up against the Xenophobic attacks happening in South Africa.

“Xenophobia real. I am not in court and i don’t owe anybody an explanation but the greatest part of it is i’m still alive. This here is not a nigerian owned car as claimed, this is deno kiwunyas mercedes car being demolished after i fled the scene under mob attacks. Same car i was seated in before all this happened. As you can see it parked on the roadside next to the shop we went to buy food at. I was attacked because i am in south africa and i’m not south african. All you passing false news need to stop please. These people are heartless can take life for no reason. This is very sad. You will take it lightly but remember today it’s me tomorrow it’s someone else and it could be someone you love. Let’s stand up against xenophobic attacks fellow africans. Death flashed very closely in my face yesterday and tomorrow you or your loved one might not be as lucky as me to survive the attack. Please world wake up. #stopxenophobia,” he said

His brother Chameleone also took to social media to thank Ugandans living in South Africa for coming to his brother’s aid.

“Thanks uganda worldwide most especially the south african ugandan community!! Pallaso was rescued at all odds!!!But all this must be condemned as we are all africans.
If we move in unity same way always we shall be free!!!

Let’s always watch out for one another. Bro come home now!!!! god took control and he will always. Come back home. All evil has done god the will repair. Thanks all our family, fans and everybody that reached out in such a time.” He said

The family of Felix Orinda popularly known as Dj Evolve is appealing for help to clear his medical bill which is currently at 6.9 million shillings.

Speaking to the press, DJ Evolve’s family expressed concerns that they will not be able to find the best medical attention for him as they struggle to find ways of clearing the bill.

Dj Evolve who is currently in ICU at Nairobi Hospital sustained a gunshot wound in the neck after Embakasi East MP Babu Owino allegedly shot him on January 17 at B Club in Nairobi’s Kilimani area.

In a bill dated 20th February, the Disc jockey is to pay Ksh1.66M in doctors fees, Ksh.1.3M in pharmacy charges, Ksh.913, 683 in nursing charges and Ksh.990,000 in room rent and  a physiotherapy charge of 494,100 among other charges.

Close sources report that the deejay is currently unable to speak and is being fed using tubes.

How Ringtone called Out Music Mogul Sadat Muhindi during Papa Dennis’ Burial

Gospel singer Papa Dennis was laid to rest last week on Wednesday at his Parents’ home in Matunda, Kakamega county.

Unlike his funeral service held last Monday at Nairobi Chapel, only a handful of celebrities made it to attend the burial ceremony.

Gospel artistes like Daddy Owen, Ringtone Apoko, Gloria Muliro, Mash Mjukuu, the owner of the studio where Papa Dennis spent his last moment and Mr. Seed were however in attendance.

During the burial ceremony, gospel singer Alex Apoko popularly known as Ringtone left tongues wagging after calling out Papa Dennis’ previous management.

According to Ringtone, Sadat Muhindi who skipped Papa Dennis’ funeral, flew business class to Dubai on the day of the burial.

Ringtone went on to say that Sadat had done very little to support his once famous artiste’s send off.

“This issue of promoters using artistes to enrich themselves should come to an end. When the artiste suffers, they are nowhere to be seen. Sadat posted a photo on social media on his way to Dubai. He did not support Papa Dennis’ send off and when we set a meeting to contribute money for Dennis’ send off, he said the hotel where we were was too filthy for him so he left to plan his own funeral committee only toi bring back 6000.” Ringtone said

The controversial singer however revealed that Papa Dennis’ send off was planned and funded by several artistes even from the secular industry.

“Kenyan artistes like Nameless, Otile Brown contributed towards this. This entire program was planned by artistes.” He added

Socialite cum business woman Vera Sidika and her Tanzanian boyfriend  Jimmy Chansa have parted ways.

Fans noticed that there may be trouble in paradise for the couple after they both deleted each other’s photos on social media.

Earlier in the month, netizens thronged Chansa’s Instagram to inquire if all was well but he brushed off the allegations terming them as rumors.

Vera introduced Chansa to her fans in July 2019 just months after parting ways with RnB singer Otile Brown.
