The gospel industry in Kenya has for sometime been rocked with controversy regarding the authenticity of the gospel some artistes preach.
Earlier this year, KOT were on the neck of two artistes who were allegedly involved in a sex scandal that shook the gospel industry.
The scandal only ignited questions among fans of gospel music who questioned some actions by some of our industry’s best.
Gospel star Bahati was forced to come out and defend himself after photos of him singing to a group of semi-nude ladies surfaced online.
The EMB boss said that he ministers to everyone regardless of where they are at the time.
“I only go to clubs when i’m performing. When i’m called to perform. Not to chill, performance. I’m growing in a generation that i have to go to the people and give them the gospel. Huyo ni mtu pengine sunday haendangi church . I know i’ll reach them anywhere i’m called to perform?” he said
His nemesis Willy Paul has also been forced to defend himself on several occasions because his fans seem to be confused on where he stands.
The singer said he is a contemporary artiste therefore he can sing whatever genre he feels like.
Now a little birds whispered to us about yet another gospel artiste who embarrassed himself at a popular joint along Mombasa road.
The singer who was also linked to a scandal involving his boss earlier this year, is said to have had one too many to drink.
He allegedly walked into the club in the company of two of his friends and after sipping a few bottles he became dramatic.
A fellow reveler says the singer at one point started crying for reasons only known to himself, forcing his friends to whisk him out of the club.
