Elani’s vocalist Maureen Kunga is no longer in the singles club after tying the knot a few days ago.

The singer revealed through a post on her Instagram account that she had indeed tied the knot.

“Best day of my life.” she captioned a photo of her dressed in a gown

According to word on the street, Kunga walked down the aisle at a lavish wedding on the shores of Lake Naivasha at the end of August.

The newlyweds held their ruracio (Traditional Wedding) in December last year at Maureen’s parents’ home in Meru county.

Their wedding was attended by family and close friends.

The singer has managed to keep her hubby away from the public eye and her entire relationship under wraps

Gospel singer Willy Paul has been exposed as a violent man by a lady claiming to be his ex-girlfriend.

According to the lady identified as Susan Mwaniki, the singer attacked her sometime in May at his Syokimau house and caused her serious injuries.

Mwaniki says that  the singer allegedly strangled, threatened her with a knife, threatened to shoot her and even boiled water and threatened to scald her with it.

“He is not a joker when he says something he does it so i was very afraid when he threatened me with the gun and hot water. I reported the assault to the police because i wanted the government to know that i was threatened and my life was in danger. After beating me he went out for two hours and acted like nothing happened when he came back into the house. I did not go home i stayed there for four days before i went home to thika. I stayed because i thought he would change but every other day i hear him threatening and treating people the way he wants.” she said

The incident allegedly started after Willy Paul found out Susan had reached out to one of his friends when she couldn’t find him.

“There is a time he blocked me and i was anxious to know how he was doing. I contacted one of his friends by the name kelvin and we talked but absolutely nothing was going on. So on that night of early may was in a Tuesday he took my phone and was mad that i was still talking to his friend and went crazy… he threatened to shoot me and kept beating me up, he even boiled water to burn me and also threatened me with a knife it was a horrible night for me. He kept saying he was going to kill me and said that was not his first time to do so… even after knowing I’m asthmatic he still strangled me almost leaving me for dead it’s like he’s proud of what he did that’s why i want to teach him a lesson.” she added

Following the incident, the lady says she still stayed with him for four days hoping he will change but eventually left for her parent’s place in Thika.

The lady also says the singer caused her head injuries but refused to pay for her MRI and when she reached out to him, he responded with insults.

The incident was reported at Thika Police Station under OB number 105/5/7/2019.

The Nation Media group has terminated its contract with popular Reggae deejay following his bid to vie for the Kibra seat.

The deejay has been hosting the popular Jam Rock show that airs on NTV a TV station owned by the media group.

An executive at the media house says the deejay was laid off because of his political interest which is in violation of his contract and contradicts the editorial policy.

The popular deejay will however have two more shows before  his replacement picks up.

“Kris has made his decision that he is getting into politics and as per the editorial policy, he left us with no choice but to terminate his contract as the host of the Jam Rock Reggae Show. This decision was mutual between both parties. We wish him well in his future endeavors. He will, however, host two more shows to bid the fans bye,” said the head of Production at NTV, Justus Tharao.

The media house will however still hold its deal with Darling’s Dohty family for the show.

He is among 1o aspirants who will be seeking the party’s ticket on Saturday when ODM conducts its nominations.

Controversial singer Akothee’s facebook post has steered reactions from her fans after she compared herself with late King of Pop’ Michael Jackson.

In the caption,Akothee congratulated herself saying that it is only her and Michael Jackson who have performed to one person In history.

Rapper Kristoff and fellow singer Kush Tracey have become an online conversation after they were allegedly caught up in an affair.

In a video that has been widely shared online, the two were busted leaving a Nairobi club while holding hands.

Kristoff’s girlfriend, singer Yvonne Darcq got into a fit after bumping into the two.

In the video Darcq is heard asking Kristoff what he is doing with Kush Tracey and Kristoff responds saying that he is only dropping her off.

There was drama at the backstage during Jamaican dancehall legend Konshens’ concert at Ngong Racecourse over the weekend.

Radio Presenter and rapper Barak Jaccuzi found himself in a tough spot after a jilted lover called him out for ignoring her.

The lady only identified as Kairetu Lishan accused the rapper of impregnating her three times and asking her to abort all three times.

In a video that has since gone viral on social media, the lady accused the singer of ignoring her despite them having a two year relationship.

Turns out fans confused the singer’s brother with legendary singer Juma Toto who passed away on Wednesday.

The 70-year-old benga maestro is said to have fallen on his way home on Friday at Jerusalem Estate in Nairobi and underwent a head surgery at Kenyatta Hospital. However, the Benga star failed to make it out of the ICU after a delicate operation to put together his skull that had split.

The Benga maestro is famed for his hit, FC Gor mahia released in 1970 which later became the club’s anthem.

Nyota Ndogo’s brother Juma Tutu on the other hand is a celebrated swahili Jazz maestro based in Mombasa.

He joined Bango Sounds in 2000, since he was highly inspired by Mzee Ngala, one of the greatest saxophonists in the Coast. In September 2000 Juma joined Wazalendo Band where for the first time he played as the main saxophonist till early 2001 when he got the chance to join the Mushrooms band.

He is the founder of Juma Tutu and the swahili jazz band which he founded in 2012
