
Gift Osinya, the brother of three-year-old baby Satrin, who survived a gun attack at a Likoni church in 2014, is among the top performers in this year’s KCPE exam.
Gift, who schools at Bethlehem Academy in Ruiru scored 399 marks out of a possible 500 marks.
Gift and his brother Satrin Osinya were adopted by Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko after their mother died in the gun attack.
An elated Mike Sonko took to the social media to describe his happiness and pride in the performance of Gift.
“Today, I can say I’m a very proud father, Gift Osinya has scored a mean grade of A. Total marks 399 as follows
A in English 77 mrks;
A in Kiswahili 85 mrks;
A in Mathematics 87 mrks;
A in Social studies 77mrks and
B in Science 73mrks.” He posted.
Gift who attributes his success to hard work and God, says he wants to become an engineer when he grows up.
