The ongoing fiasco pitying comedian Eric Omondi and Moral Cop Ezekiel Mutua has taken another turn after Hip hop Star Khaligraph Jones joined in.
Khaligraph has set up a rap competition with Ksh. 500,000 up for grabs which will be won in bits of Ksh. 10,000.
“Hii iendee watu ka akina Ezekiel Mutua, I didn’t even want to mention your name but i had to so that this people understand what am talking about.. Hii ni half a million nimeamua nataka kutumia hii doo kusaidia industry yetu,” was part of the Mazishi rapper’s statement.
The Blue Inc Corp. President disclosed that he was pained when he saw the viral video of Mutua depicting artist’s as not only broke but also being a depressed lot.
“I saw a certain video that was circulating over the internet some guy saying that ati wasanii, ati Eric Omondi ame beat, ati Eric Omondi ni fukara, wasanii wote Kenya they have nothing to offer, all these guys are going through depression nani kitu mbaya kusema kitu kama hiyo,” said Khaligraph.
He further reminded Mutua that the creative industry is being looked upon by most of the young people as a way of escaping poverty and earning a decent living and appealed to him to use his position by improving the sector.
” Usanii ndio mahali vijana wengi wamekimbilia saa hii wakipiga nayo biz wakitafuta nayo riziki.. Unaexpect kitu kama hii inafanyia nini hao vijana wana aspire kuwa wasanii.. You being in your position it’s your responsibility to motivate the people and you’re supposed to advise the people and tell them which direction to take with their careers and whatever it is that they do instead of demotivating them and insulting them on record, like that is bad you’re not leading by example so hiyo tumekataa” fumed Khaligraph.
True to his word on working with up coming acts,Khaligraph has lined up collaborations with Buruklyn Gang and Sheng Masters Mbogi Genje. Written By Steve Osaka.
