Bongo sensation Harmonize has revealed that he is considering a move for the Tandahimba parliamentary seat.
Harmonize was responding to the Tanzanian head of State John Pombe Magufuli who had requested him to vie for the seat.
The singer now says he is ready to represent the people of Tandahimba following Magufuli’s endorsement.
“Thanks alot …!!!! My president ..!! Earlier in the week, The President had sent a special request to Harmonize asking him to represent people from his hometown during the 2020 general elections.
“Lakini nampongeza sana Harmonize sijui anatoka Jimbo gani, anatoka Jimbo gani huyu? Tandaimba? Mbuge wa kule ni nani? Ningetamani kweli Harmonize aende akagombee kule akawe mbunge wa Tandaimba. Kijana anabidii nzuri sana. Ndugu zangu asanteni sana mungu awabariki,” said the President
Harmonize’s response comes just barely two months after he said he has no plans to venture into politics.
“I do not think of venturing into politics. Instead, I want to take our music to greater heights. My dream is to take our music international. That is where I put all my energy. I will do anything and everything for music and nothing else, not even politics,” he said at the time
