Nigerian songbird Yemi Alade has been forced to explain herself to critics after launching her latest album in Nairobi.
The Nigerian star launched her album ‘Woman of steel’ in Nairobi on Tuesday evening, something that has angered some of her countrymen.
According to her critics, the singer ought to have chosen her home town as an ideal place for her launch.
Yemi now says she was driven by love she has been receiving from Nairobians and that was her gift for her fans in Nairobi.
“My slogan is ‘go where there is love’ and Nairobi has given me too much love and so just to return the love, I had to do it here,” she said
The woman of steel album launch at Bloor Door, Westlands was graced by some of the heavy hitters in the Industry like, Nadia Mukami, Naiboi, Dogo Janja, Hart the Band, Victoria Kimani, Sauti Sol’s Chimano, Anyiko Owoko, Patricia Kihoro, Producer Eric Musyoka, Buddah Blaze and Blinky Bill.
