Veteran rapper Chris Kantai was working on his comeback album before his demise in February this year.
According to his producer KonKizy, Kantai had already worked on nine tracks for his latest album in the last four months of his life.
The album which will be released officially on Thursday April 18th features tracks like boyz in blue and Zimmerman, a track he did in praise of his hood.
KonKizy says Kantai’s album “Trance” is a true definition of his hard work and last moments alive.
Last Moments
Speaking to Ghetto Radio, Kantai’s manager Ciku recounted his last moment alive saying he developed complications from an over the counter medication at the same time revealing that Kantai had received salvation.
“He reacted to medicine he bought over the counter, he complained about his feet. He also had issues breathing and eating and as a result he was very weak. One thing people don’t know is that he gave his life to Christ hours before his death.” She said
She also said that Kantai had visited the hospital on several occasions because of peptic ulcers and Bi-polar.
Relationship with STL
At the time of his death, Kantai was hugely credited for bringing rapper STL into the Kenyan limelight but according to his manager, Kantai actually dated the sassy rapper close to ten years ago.
“I met Kantai through his then girlfriend Stella Mwangi ‘STL’ most people thought they were just good friends but they were actually an item. He really liked keeping his personal life very private.” Said Ciku
The rapper’s producer says he was one of the easiest artiste’s to work with and was very hard working.
Kantai passed on in February after developing breathing complication.
