Bongo sensation  Diamond Platnumz has responded a day after his song featuring Rayvanny was banned.

Tanzania music regulatory authority (BASATA) C.EO Godfrey Muigeraza banned the song from being played on any TV or radio station arguing that it promotes immorality.

Diamond who is currently in Canada wrote an open letter to BASATA saying that the song is not meant for children and therefore should only be played during watershed hours and not being banned.

He wrote in part

Diamond also argued that he earns $70,000 (ksh.7 million) per show hence contributes upto ksh.2.2 million to Tanzania in taxes and therefore banning his song is interfering with his source of income.

Responding to BASATA’s ban on performing the song, Diamond said his shows are in the middle of the night therefore there’s no way he is performing for kids.

Fellow artiste Rayvanny also sent out an open letter to BASATA saying that the song sends out a message against imorality and does not intend to insult anyone as cited by BASATA C.E.O.
