
Hollywood star Lupita Nyong’o is in the country months after her fans in Kisumu were disappointed by her absence during the black panther premier.
The Oscar-award winner star landed in Kisumu at 10am on Saturday and was received by county government officials and a heavy security.
Lupita was in accompanied by a 15 county vehicles convoy as she toured Kisumu town.
The star’s security detail however, warned everyone including the media against taking pictures of her.
The movie star is in Kenya on an investment mission that will benefit regional artistes.
Lupita came in the company of international investors who are keen to support a creatives project to be established in Kisumu.
Reports allege that Kisumu county officials rushed to the airport without an idea of who they were going to pick up.
Lupita’s visit comes just months after Kisumu County announced plans to build a multi purpose arts center in Kisumu.
