Just days after Wasafi Records CEO Diamond Platnumz hinted that he had let go of his beef with Ali Kiba he has now found himself in a new feud with veteran bongo star TID.
TID has started the beef with Diamond because of the name ‘Simba’. The ‘Siamini’ hit maker claims he owns exclusive rights to use the name ‘Simba’.
While on interview wit ETV Tanzania,TID claimed he was given the name because of his impressive performances on stage a while back.
“Kwa mfano mimi perfomance zangu wanasema ni kali, yaani za kinyama, kwahiyo mimi nilikuwa nafanya kinyama ndipo mashabiki walipo amua kunipa jina la mnyama, mpaka sasa mimi ni mnyama kutoka unyamani. Lakini sio mbaya sasa hivi nasikia kuna wengine wanajiita Simba, nimewa-inspire kuwa hivyo, kuna wengine ni wakufungwa, lakini mimi ndio mnyama wenyewe,” said TID.
(For example my performances have always been impressive that is why fans decided to give me an animal’s name, I hear there are others who now reffer to themselves as ‘simba’ its good I inspire them but I am still the ultimate Simba.)
Diamond has not responded to TID over the Simba name feud.
