Ugandan singer Moses Ssali popularly known as Bebe cool has announced that he will be taking a short break from the entertainment scene.

The singer says he will be taking the break until things settle in his country following a political uproar.

Cool who was on Friday booed off stage while performing at the Swagz All-Star concert held at the Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala.

The singer was pelted with objects after he refused to get off stage.

‘’They are not throwing bottles to me because they hate me, no! They’re sending a message to me. Only that they’re sending a message to the wrong person. They’re sending the right message to a wrong person,’’ he said while on an interview.

He went on to express how Bobi Wine was faking his injuries to gain political mileage.

Ugandan singer and politician Robert Kyangulanyi alias Bobi Wine managed to flay to the USA for special treatment this past weekend.

Wine has finally opened up about what transpired from the time he was arrested to the time of his release.

In a long post on social media, the politician narrated how he got the news about his driver’s shooting to the time he was harassed by authorities and even injected with unknown substance.

“I could not believe it….I quickly asked a team member to take him to hospital and another to call the police. We had not stepped away from that place when angry SFC soldiers came beating everyone they could see, As soon as they saw me, they said ‘there he is’ in Swahili,” he wrote

The singer narrated how he locked himself up in a room until the soldiers broke the door and pointed the gun to his head.

“Another soldier pointed a gun to my head and ordered me to kneel down…..the soldier who broke into the room used the same iron bar to hit me…the second blow came straight to my head on the side of my right eye…They beat me, punched me and kicked me with their boots, “I cannot understand how these soldiers who I had probably never met in person could hate me so much.” He added

He was then taken to a different location where he was handcuffed to a metallic bed and injected with a substance.

Two MPs who paid him a visit after his arrest could not believe how he looked just a day after his arrest.

“The moment they saw me they could not hold back their tears.” He said

He was later taken to General Court Martial where he was accused of illegal possession of firearms.

“I was told that three guns had been assembled and said to have been found in my room.” He narrated

He was acquitted of charges against him by the military but rearrested outside the Gulu-based court and taken to a civil court.

Vernacular Comedian Joseph Mochere, better known as Okebiro O’Mose, attempted to kill four family members before hanging himself on Saturday, his family has revealed.

The comedian’s life is reported to have been clouded with allegations of a troubled marriage and infidelity.

Mochere, 37, was a lead comedian at Egesa FM, a vernacular radio station affiliated to Royal Media Services.
“He was armed with a knife and had become wild as he threatened to kill anyone in the house,” his wife reported

Mochere allegedly tried to stab his wife and his brother a day before he killed himself but they overpowered him.

After the incident, his wife packed up and left the city for their rural Nyamira home with their two children.

Daniel Ombwori, Mochere’s younger brother, who also lives in Nairobi, said the couple’s marriage had been troubled for the last four years, with the comedian being accused of having extra-marital affairs since his rise to celebrity status.

The comedian is said to have left a suicide not telling his wife to look for a different father for their kids.

“I have been patient enough but you have been stressing me for nothing. Take those children and look for another father who is not immoral and who has never seduced any lady. Goodbye,” read the note

Kyki challenged Gabu to show her atleast one artiste he had helped build a name t6hrough his record label, Kopakt recordz.

Ugandan socialite cum business woman, Zari hassan surprised many of her fans when she offered Hamisa Mobetto some advice amid witchcraft drama.

Zari urged Hamissa to quit tolerating Diamond’s alleged disrespect and simply move on with her life once and for all.

Kenyan socialite Huddah Monroe has rejected her nomination for an international film and fashion award.

The international award is set to be held later this month in the United Kingdom.

Taking to social media, Huddah said that she declined the 2018 Black Entertainment Film Fashion Television and Arts (BEFFTA) nomination.

Monroe explained that the nomination alongside her arch nemesis Vera Sidika and Zari Hassan was a non-starter and that she has no competition.

She went on to say that she is not even bothered about the award.

”You chose me for awards I don’t even bother about. Lol My craft is mine and mine alone to share with those who believe in me. I never in my life failed at anything I do. Residents of Umoja 2 in Nairobi are trying to come to terms with the death of a young man who was thrown off a balcony by his wife’s lover.

The deceased, Dickson Jared Samba met his sad fate on Thursday, September 6, at around midnight.

Samba spent his last with friends at a hang out in a local entertainment joint.

Samba allegedly walked in on his wife and the said man in a compromising position.

Neighbours say Samba was pushed from the balcony of his house on the fourth floor of an apartment located at Bee Center along Manyanja Road in Umoja 2.

This was after a heated confrontation between the two.

The suspect is still at large however Samba’s wife has denied any involvement in his murder

The lady, Sue Nyawaga, took to social media to term the allegations as false.

According to the distraught lady, she couldn’t have imagined hurting the deceased because she is expecting his child.

“Even if you’re so cold blooded, how can you kill a man you’re expecting his own baby?” she posed.

Creme took to social media to share the news expressing pain following the tragic loss with just three months to go.

He went on to give details about the incident narrating how it pained him to be out of the country at a time when he wife was going through an emotional moment.

Last week an article narrating how Mombasa governor Hassan Joho dumped Tv siren Betty Kyallo left tongues wagging.

Betty Kyallo soon after took to social media to laugh off the story.

“At least they chose a good photo.” She wrote.

This was after her sister wrote her an encouraging post after the article.

“Nothing shakes us. Moving on,” wrote Mercy Kyallo

The paper alleged that after the breakup, Joho took back his BMW X6, a Porsche Cayenne and a house he had bought for Betty in Nairobi’s Kilimani area

Days after the article was published, Betty Kyalo’s mum Julia Ngii has also come out to offer words of encouragement to her daughter.

Ngii took to social media to urge Betty to stay strong amid the crisis.

“Strong is the woman from my womb. Shine, shine mum. Funga masikio and focus on greatness,”she wrote

Musician and comedian Oga Obinna has expressed his love for Kenyan women at the same time showing love for Vera Sidika.

Obinna said he preffered Kenyan women more than Nigerian women.

Speaking to Maji Maji and King Kafu on Ghetto radio’s Brekko show, Obinna said he finds Kenyan women beautiful.

“Kenyan women are beautiful.” Hesaid

Asked whether he preffered Huddah Monroe or Vera Sidika, Obinna did not shy away from showing some love to Vera.

“I like Vera Sidika, that’s my baby. I love heavy machineryand I’m jus managing property after Otile left. Huddah is just okay.” He added

Obinna also addressed the common issue about  why Kenyan music is rarely played in Nigeria.

According to the comedian, the issue just revolves around artiste’s market themselves on international platforms.

“Marketing matters. It is how Kenyans market themselves in Nigeria that will get them airplay in Nigeria. Victoria Kimani is played there, Sauti Sol is also played there. It is simply about the money, the record label that signed you and how much you marklet yourself as an artiste.” He said
