I was done with writing for the day but changed my mind upon stumbling on this emerging post on Facebook that shook my nerves a lit further with fury.
Well, word on the streets has it that Kenya’s official opposition party ODM shall be allegedly having their 10th Anniversary celebrations somewhere in Mombasa tomorrow, 10th September and that a series of mega performance from both local and Tanzanian artistes is expected to take place.
The annoying part of this whole thing is how DOM has been exposed as key role players in the murder of our own talented artistes and the music industry at large and instead rewarding Magufuli’s son handsomely- that is if a leaked photo bearing the amount they will cash in at the expense of “Akina Susumila and Nyota Ndogo” is anything to go by.
Amongst the local artistes lined up for the day are Nyota Ndogo, Dazla, Ally B and Susumila. Alikiba and Diamond shall be the only foreign artistes set to perform as well.
According to the budget, ODM has allegedly paid Kenyan artistes 2% of what they have paid Diamond platnumz.
Numeric wise, Diamond will cash Kshs. 5,000,000 whilst Alikiba walks home with a whooping Kshs. 3,000,000 as our Kenyan artistes namely Nyota Ndogo, Ally B, Amour Beibe and Susumila take home JUST Kshs. 100,000 each. Dazla and Kaa La Moto are set to get 80,000/- each making it a total of 560,000/- .
Coastal artiste have since appealed through one, Inanga to have their concern attended to.
The truth of this allegation against ODM cannot be verified and should be treated as hearsay.
