Born in Kakamega County and raised in the sprawling slums of Kibra in Nairobi, Ndari Aaron going by the stage name Ram Music was drawn to music from a tender age.

His mother was a big fan of The Late South African Reggae icon Lucky Dube and would play his songs and he got hooked to the reggae vibe.
“Usanii ni passion nilikuwa nayo from utotoni back then nikiskiza Lucky Dube ambapo mum alikuwa fan wake, so most of the time alikuwa anacheza ngoma zake” said the first year journalism student at Multimedia University.

When he joined high school he fell in love with Jamaican dancehall Star’s Chronixx and Protoje music to the extent of being referred to as ‘Chronixx’s brother,it was at this point that he started writing his own compositions, engaging in freestyle battles while using trap dancehall beats.
“High school nilijipata kupenda Chronixx na Protoje to a point nilikuwa naitwa Bro ya Chronixx,hapo ndipo nikaanza kujiandikia my own composition na hata pia kujihusisha na freestyle friday chuo but most nikitumia beats za trap dancehall” he Added.
(Side Hustles) With music being a venture that pays gradually Ram peddles second hand clothes to supplement his earnings,the cloth business also provides him with pocket money for his basic needs while at school.
Building on his journalism career, he runs a show on facebook dubbed ‘Vybz Xtra’ where he plays reggae and dancehall music while engaging on issues affecting the youth.
“Mimi huuza manguo na pia am an MC but for passion ya journalism am a show host kwa fb page ya mine, mi huenda live na kucheza reggae na dancehall nikuzungumza na mayouths wenzangu,show inaitwa Vybz Xtra” Further added the rising Star.
His main challenge is financial constraints.He has managed to release two afro dancehall singles,(Future Prospects) He’s currently working on a project at Awesome Empire’s owned by dancehall Star Michael Bundi who featured on Etana’s latest album ‘Pamoja ‘.locally he looks forward to working with Havoc Musik, Nyashinki and Michael Bundi, internationally it’s Chronixx and Protoje.
