
Veteran,Reggae star,Junior Reid might be rubbing it roughly with the Jamaican authorities after charges of
assaulting a sound system disc jockey for not playing his music.
Reid and his crew had turned up at a dancehall gig where,one DJ Wessy Wessy was spinning the decks.
Reid is said to have asked Dj Wessy to play one of his new songs but the latter refused leading to a serious altercation that consequently led Junior Reid to allegedly pulling his gun and assaulted the young Deejay before vacating the venue with his entourage.
Wessy,then recorded a voice note calling Junior Reid an extinct artist who should retire .He further threatened to cut the 52-year-old dreadlocks.
“Somebody will find you and cut your locks,I don’t owe you an favours. Your an extinct artiste who need to retire.”
Borne on 6 June 1963 , Delroy “Junior” Reid is a Jamaican reggae and dancehall musician, best known for the songs “One Blood” and “This Is Why I’m Hot”, as well as being the lead vocalist for Black Uhuru on three albums ‘Brutal’, ‘Positive’ and ‘Black Uhuru Live in New York’,as reported by Wikipedia.
