The hearing in a case involving footballer Victor Wanyama against socialite Shakillah has been set.
According to a court document seen by Ghetto Radio, the case will be heard at the Milimani Law courts on the 10th of November 2020.
Shakillah and her co accused blogger Arthur Mandela alias Xtian Dela are to appear in court at 9:00 am on the said date.
‘The application dated 6th October 2020 has been fixed for hearing on 10th November 2020 at Milimani Law Courts at 9:00 am in the forenoon or soon thereafter in the High court at Nairobi.’ Read the document in part
Late September, Shakillah who was hosted on an Instagram live with Xtian Dela claimed that Wanyama was among celebrities who had paid to bed her.
In a statement released by Wanyama at the time, he accused both Shakilah and Xtian of spoiling a name he has worked so hard to build.
Wanyama also revealed that he had instructed his management to take legal action against the two.
“My attention has been drawn to a video circulating online containing false, fabricated and insulting allegations aimed at scandalizing my good name and reputation. I wish to distance myself completely from the contents of this defamatory video. The allegations made therein are a total fabrication and a figment of the maker’s imagination at its best. I have never met any party in the video…..I am prepared to go to great lengths to protect my good name and character. Consequently with the blessing of my management team I have instructed my legal team to pursue all legal remedies available to me and to which I have the unreserved right to seek.” Read the statement in part
Shakillah had claimed that she had made some good cash off the footballer after their alleged sexcapades.
