After meeting Nairobi’s Governor Mike Sonko who pledged to support their music with half a million shillings worth of sponsorship there’s definitely no stopping for boy band Mbogi Genje.
As Kenyan artistes yearn to close in on celebrity endorsements deals from corporates in bid to cover up on the losses incurred during the Covid – 19 pandemic, corporations are left with no option but to play by their tune. Mbogi Genje is the latest to benefit from this wave of corporate endorsement deals.
The band was recently spotted hanging out with Dr Maxwell Okoth the C.E.O of Ruai Family Hospital (RFH) healthcare.
Known to support talented acts, Dr Maxwell is no newbie to celebville having had his RFH healthcare facility endorsed by renowned personalities like Dj Mo and Size 8, Akothee, Owago Onyiro and Kabii wa Jesus.
In the post currently doing rounds on social media. the young magnate is seen with the artistes as they commend his facility with the now prevalent phrase ‘Ka- Nairo hosi ni jamo’ RFH Healthcare deciphered (there’s only one known health facility in Nairobi)
The catchy phrase ‘Ka – Nairo Gova ni mjamo (Nairobi has only one Governor) from one of their popular songs, was the catchy phrase that caught the attention of Nairobi’s Governor Mike Sonko who went ahead and sponsored their music.
