This week the Kenyan entertainment scene was so full of drama from your favorite celebrities. First Dj Mo had altercation with his wife at a City Hotel then ended up being exposed as a cheat then, Samidoh found himself with a new wife thanks to KOT. Here are this week’s top entertainment stories.
- Storm over paradise
I think it is safe to say this week was one of the worst in the life of Sammy Muraya aka Dj Mo. On Monday guys woke up to a clip circulating on social media of him being shouted at by his wife gospel star Size 8.
It was later revealed that the clip was from an upcoming episode of Dine with the Murayas.
By Wednesday however, the Dj was still trending thanks to blogger Edgar Obare, Mo was exposed by his alleged side chick Margaret Wanyama.
The lass released screenshots of her conversations with the popular deejay and even went ahead to share some d*#$ pics (SMH)
Fast forward to Thursday and people believe he has been kicked out by his wife after sharing a photo from what looks like a hotel room.
He comes out to rubbish those allegations with a boomerang video in the company of his wife and children praying together.
“A family that prays together, stays together ” he captioned the video
- Samidoh and Karen Nyamu
A section of fans were on Kikuyu benga singer Samidoh’s case after allegations that he is set to welcome a child with city lawyer Karen Nyamu.
The allegations started after the heavily preggers Nyamu’s baby shower where she hinted that he may be her baby daddy.
While sharing clips from her surprise baby shower, Nyamu shared a caption addressing her baby daddy as Baba SM JNR and fans concluded she is talking about the singer.
Following the news, a section of his fans called him out for what they termed as ‘Cheating on his wife’
The singer who is married to Edith Muchoki with whom they have two children was forced to issue a statement rubbishing the allegations.
Speaking to a local media house, Samidoh said he is not dating Nyamu and is definitely not the father of her unborn child.
He added that he is happily married and is not looking for a wife and especially not in this economy.
“I have a wife with children and I do not intend to get another one with the current economy, I have not been dating her, she has just been my big fan for a long time.” He said
The singer also said he was shocked that people are saying he attended Nyamu’s baby shower yet he has not been in Nairobi.
- Ciku Muiruri defends Mo’s Side Chick
Media personality Ciku Muiruri also came to the defense of Dj Mo’s alleged side chick Margaret Wanyama.
In a post shared online, Ms Muiruri said men cheat for a myriad of reasons and it does not always boil down to looks.
“Your hubby cheats for a myriad of reasons and sometimes they have nothing to do with you. Home life is great; I think I’ll cheat. Interchangeable with home life is bad; I think I’ll cheat. It’s Tuesday, I think I’ll cheat. I’m wearing blue today; I think I’ll cheat. It’s 7pm; I think I’ll cheat. I had a burger for lunch; I think I’ll cheat. Guys are wired differently. They do things sometimes just because they can. And if they believe they can get away with it! Don’t look for a life-changing, jaw-dropping reason,” she wrote
She further rubbished KOT who trolled Wanyama for being a ‘down grade’ compared to Size 8.
She said it is never about looks but about how a lady makes a man feel in the moment.
“I have never placed that much importance in looks. It’s about how you make him FEEL. Social media went into a frenzy when they saw the lady that Gospel DJ Sammy Muraya aka DJ MO is allegedly cheating on Size 8 with and they harped on and on about her looks. Many are of the opinion that if a man cheats it should be with someone better looking. You think so? When did cheating snobbery take root in our psyche? I have never placed that much importance in looks. Yeah, it helps to be noticed but more important than that – It’s about how you make him FEEL. Never think beauty is enough,” she added
- Anerlisa and Benpol
Nero C.E.O Anerlisa Muigai also finally confirmed that all is not well in her marriage to Tanzanian singer Benpol.
In a post shared on her Insta stories, Anerlisa said that she is currently not in good terms with her husband.
In the controversial post, Anerlisa pointed fingers at her husband hinting that he may have disrespected her.
She added that she is one who likes to protect her image and cannot tolerate any form of disrespect.
She revealed that someone called her about Benpol’s recent instagram live and the person even sent her screenshots.
“Somebody called asking if I was aware that “my husband” was live talking things she couldn’t understand, she even sent me screenshots. Unfortunately, I never got to watch but just to make it clear that we are not in good terms. I am a person who likes to protect my image and all I know is that I like being respected and any husband should do the same to their wife,” she wrote
This comes after weeks of speculation that they parted ways barely two months after their wedding in Dar Es Salaam.
- Jacque Maribe and the men in her life
Jacque Maribe for the first time addressed her current relationship to ex fiancé Jowie Irungu.
Speaking on an interview with True Love, Maribe said she does not care about Irungu.
She added that an ongoing court case bars her from addressing matters Jowie adding that it is impossible to talk about him without going into details.
“Who is that? I don’t talk about that man. One, because we have a court gag and there is no way of speaking about him and not giving details of what happened. And second, I just don’t really care about him at all,” she said
Maribe had been asked about her relationship with Eric Omondi, Dennis Itumbi and Jowie Irungu.
Speaking about the father of her son, Maribe said she was friend with Eric Omondi for over five years before they decided to start dating.
“Eric and I were very good friends for about five years before we made the decision to cross that line and start dating,” she said
She went on to add that when she got pregnant she was very happy and ready mentally but Eric was just not ready to be a parent.
“By the time we realized that we were expecting, I was very excited. I really wanted a baby and had gone through all the motions of trying to get one. I was at a space where this was what I wanted and was genuinely actively working towards it. But I think for Eric and his career, he wasn’t very sure about the path he should take. Like do we do this and have a baby together? Not speaking ill of him, but at that time he had this ‘ladies man’ image, there was no space for a child in that mix,’ she added
- Diamond and his mum diss Tanasha
Last weekend Bongo crooner Naseeb Abdul popularly known as Diamond Platnumz released a diss track dubbed Hauni sumbui aimed at his exes.
Following the song’s release many people speculated it is directed to his baby mama Tanasha Donna.
Part of the song’s lyrics call out people who have been on his case and many pointed out that it could only be Tanasha.
Recently both Tanasha and her manager Jamal Gaddafi have accused Diamond of stealing part of Tanasha’s lyrics.
While promoting the new song, Diamond’s mum Sandra Kassim said the song is directed to one of Diamond’s ex who feels she’s a hot cake.
“TUNASHEREKEA BIRTHDAY
YA LION @DIAMONDPLATNUMZ
NA KAUJUMBE KWA YULE EX WAKO ANAYEJIFANYA YEE CAKE. MWAMBIE WALA #HAUNISUMBUI WALA.” She wrote
