Media personality Betty Kyallo’s dad Wilfred Kyallo has revealed the kind of childhood his celebrity daughter had.

Speaking in a phone interview on Churchill show, Mr. Kyallo described his daughter’s childhood as a very bright one adding that she was never one to cause trouble.

He further went on to describe his daughter as hard working and a go getter.

“Betty has been very consistent. She’s very hardworking, she is a go-getter. She plans her goals and makes sure she achieves them. Betty has consistently been in the media until when she left K24, she had a very bright future in the media. She is a very big blessing to us as a family and we love her so much. She is very kind to us and does a lot in the Family. She was very bright and concentrated much on her studies, she was very kind and always led us in prayers and most of the times she would remind us when it’s time to pray. She was never known to cause trouble, she was actually very kind and understanding, and even when it came time to share anything, she will be the last to ask for her share. She was not very committal in public issues as she would let other people go first…she was a child every parent would love to have and we are very proud of her. I have got very enterprising daughters and I am very happy about them. They are all achievers and whatever they do, they do with a lot of zeal and crest and Betty leads the way. They prefer calling me Baba Betty” he said

Speaking on the same interview, Betty Kyallo’s mother Julia said the one wish she has for her daughter is that she never lands an abusive husband.

Julia said her daughter has been through a lot in life with a serious accident that almost killed her.

The former news anchor’s mother said all she wishes for her daughter is that she lands a good man.

“When she was in from three, she had a bad accident which broke her collar bone and it was so bad. I used to cry although i could not show her. She used to ask me ‘mummy iko aje..’  she was in kenyatta hospital for one and a half years and she’s a fighter. She is a nice girl even at school she was always good. She’s a miracle. So i hope even in future nobody beats her, that’s my worry. Should not get a husband who will beat her because everything is on her face…” she said
