Ohangla musician George Adinda popularly known as Otieno Aloka was on Friday nabbed by DCI officers over his recent Facebook live show that hurled insults at women.
The Kanunge E teko singer was arrested following a complained lodged by the Kenya Film Classification Board against his song titled ‘Meru’ which he broadcast live on Facebook last Saturday, August 15.
Aloka, who is being held at the Kisumu Central Police Station, was earlier Friday grilled by the DCI over the profane lyrics.
In the song, the artiste used vulgar lyrics to refer to women and their private parts. Following the hard hitting lyrics, Kenyans called on the singer’s arrest.
He later issued an apology claiming that the specific song had been requested by a client of his from Germany.
“I ask for your forgiveness for what happened. The song was specifically requested by a client in Germany and I did not anticipate it will go viral. I especially want to apologize to all the women for all that. Please forgive me.” Aloka said
The singer is set to be arraigned in court on Monday August 24th.
