Kilifi County Deputy Governor Gideon Saburi on a Ksh.200,000 cash bail or an alternative of Sh500,000 bond with a surety of a similar amount.
A Mombasa court also ordered the DG charged with failing to self-quarantine over the coronavirus to surrender his passport and not to communicate with any of the witnesses in the case.
Magistrate Elvis Micheka also directed the deputy governor to proceed on a mandatory self-quarantine for 14 days.
