The entertainment scene lit up with news of Huddah Monroe dating Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, Peter Blessings woes with EMB records sets him back 200k. Here are the stories that made headlines this week.
- Jamaican Dancer Bumpa
Jamaican dancer Roxanne ‘Roxy’ Evans popularly known as Bumpa broke her neck and died when a dance stunt went horribly wrong.
The dancer lost her life after her dance partner jumped on her back causing her to snap her kneck.
In a video that has widely been circulated, Bumpa is seen balancing upside down while another female dancer, identified by her alias Momo, adjusts Bumpa’s legs in preparation for the stunt that should have seen Momo jump through Bumpa’s opened legs.
Momo however did not manage the jump and her entire weight landed on Bumpa.
The video ends with Bumpa lying flat on her face while Momo tries frantically to revive her.
It is alleged that the two were competing for $3500 after a dance challenge was opened at the party they attended.
Roxanne’s mother Olive Clennon revealed the dancer was rushed to the hospital following the incident.
The mother revealed that her daughter broke her neck in three places.
Bumpa is survived by her two children.
- Peter Blessing and Bahati
Gospel singer Peter Blessing was arraigned in court on Tuesday 28th January following his arrest a week a go.
The singer had been accused of obtaining cash 2,039,000 from gospel singer Kevin Kioko popularly known as Bahati between 4th July 2019 and 5th January 2020..
“Peter Munyaru you are charged with obtaining money by false pretense, between the 4th of July 2019 to the 5th day of January 2020 at EMB Records in Nairobi. Obtaining Sh2, 039, 000 from Kevin Kioko by falsely pretending that you were able to produce music videos, with the said EMB records.” Read his charge sheet
Appearing before chief magistrate Martha Mutuku, Blessing denied the charges and was freed on a Sh500K Bond or an alternative cash bail of Sh200K.
Blessing was released after his bail was posted by a good samaritan.
- Huddah Monroe and Juma Jux
Netizens are convinced Kenyan lass Huddah Monroe is now dating her Tanzanian crush Juma Jux.
According to online detectives, Huddah Monroe and Juma Jux may just be enjoying some quality time together in Zanzibar.
Jux shared a video on his Insta stories at an unidentified resort, moments later Huddah shared a video on her own insta stories seemingly at the same location.
However in a twist of events, the two may just be working together.
Jux was in Zanzibar shooting a video for his upcoming song and Huddah may just be the video vixen in the video.
In 2019, Jux made headlines after introducing his Caucasian girlfriend Nayika to his online fans; however it seems the relationship did not last.
- Benpol and Anerlisa break up
There was word doing rounds that Tanzanian singer Benpol and his Kenyan fiancé Anerlisa Muigai have parted ways.
Speaking at a recent interview, Ben Pol addressed the alleged breakup with Anerlisa Muigai saying that the allegations are false.
Speaking in an interview, the singer said that the allegations started after he deactivated his Instagram account.
Ben Pol maintains that he had taken time off social media to be with his family.

- Harmonize in Trouble
Tanzanian singer Harmonize rubbed shoulders with veteran Tanzanian singer Chidi Benz after using his photos to promote an upcoming event.
The singer took to social media to share posters announcing the list of celebrities scheduled to perform at his ongoing tour scheduled to go down at Mwembe in Yanga, Dar es Salaam.
Chidi Benz who was part of the list was however not pleased that Harmonize used his name yet he is not part of the artistes scheduled for that event.
The veteran singer revealed he had not been contacted for the gig and was not even aware of how the payment works.
