Gospel Singer Peter Blessing Released on a 200k Cash Bail

Gospel singer Peter Blessing was arraigned in court on Tuesday 28th January following his arrest a week a go.

The singer had been accused of obtaining cash 2,039,000 from gospel singer Kevin Kioko popularly known as Bahati between 4th July 2019 and 5th January 2020..

“Peter Munyaru you are charged with obtaining money by false pretense, between the 4^th of July 2019 to the 5^th day of January 2020 at EMB Records in Nairobi. Obtaining Sh2, 039, 000 from Kevin Kioko by falsely pretending that you were able to produce music videos, with the said EMB records.” Read his charge sheet

Appearing before chief magistrate Martha Mutuku, Blessing denied the charges and was freed on a Sh500K Bond or an alternative cash bail of Sh200K.

Blessing was released after his bail was posted by a good samaritan.
