Gengetone artistes Ethic and Boondocks Gang have been accused of copyright infringement.
The two groups dropped their song dubbed ‘Thao’ on Friday 11th October and most of their fans had barely gotten over the wave before the song was pulled down from Youtube.
A film company only identified as De Gigz films now claims that the artistes stole some shots from one of his films.
The clip in question is a drone shot that was slotted at the beginning of that music video.
The song was later pulled down from Youtube following the complaints. However it seems that the issue was resolved, because the video was later re-uploaded.
In August Ethic’s “Figa” was also pulled down from Youtube after allegations that the beats were lifted from a Dutch song.
Turned out that Figa’s beats were a copy and paste of the song Cono by Puri ft Jhorrmountain and Adje that was officially uploaded on YouTube, December 9, 2017.
