Rapper 21 Savage has been arrested by American immigration officials on grounds that he overstayed his ‘visit’ in the United States.
The officials say he is actually from the UK, and not from the U.S.A as he’s been saying.
The rapper, Shayaa Bin Abraham-Joseph allegedly came to the US in July 2005 aged 12 and failed to leave when his visa expired a year later.
An Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) spokesman said he was being held for removal proceedings.
Savage has previously described a childhood in Atlanta during interviews.
