Veteran mix master DJ Pinye has been facing backlash since he said he deliberately failed to play rappers DNA and Khaligraph’s songs.
The 48-year-old said some artistes dropped mediocre songs and as such wouldn’t bother playing the songs.
“There are artists whose music I did not play back in the days, including Khaligraph and DNA, but their careers have grown… I cannot play Lamba Lolo or New Position. DJs shouldn’t play mediocre music,” said DJ Pinye
An angry DNA even went on to release a distrack against the veteran deejay.
Now days later, another veteran deejay, Dj Adrian has come out to support Pinye saying he knows how much Pinye has helped artistes.
“I know for a fact that Pinye was an important part of various artists’ careers back then and I feel that if you could just talk to them then you could get the real story. He even went on tours with most of them.”he said
