Ugandan singer and member of parliament Bobi Wine is in tangles with Ugandan authorities over his Kyangera concert.

The concert which was set for Friday, November 9, at Mandela National Stadium Namboole has been banned yet again by Ugandan authorities.

On Thursday Oct 18th the event organizers had said that they would go on with the concert despite the ban but pushed the date to 20th.

Ugandan Police reportedly blocked Wine’s concert on grounds it had received complaint from Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) about hosting the concert.

Wine expressed his disappointments and condemned the Ugandan government to oppressing innocent people.

“Guess what?! Today we received this letter cancelling the show once again. Reason? They claim that they have received a complaint from FUFA about hosting our concert! Please note that the same stadium has so many other events scheduled and none has been canceled except our concert!” he wrote

Wine also accused the authorities of trying to block all his sources of income.

”How can the regime be very scared of Ugandans meeting for a music show, simply because it is hosted by Bobi Wine?! I also know that they are doing everything possible to block all my businesses and other sources of income.” He added.
