Tanzanian singer Hawa Mayoka famed for the hit song ‘Nitarejea’ featuring Diamond Platnumz has been left stranded in Tanzania.
Hawa was meant to travel to India for treatment for a liver condition but she was prevented from boarding her flight at Dar es salaam because she did not have a medical report detailing her reason for travel.
Hawa who was in the company of Diamond’s manager babu Tale and her mother Ndagina Said did not manage to travel and so far she does not know when else she can go for her treatment.
Speaking to media, Babu Tale said that they were about to board the flight when they were blocked by authorities.
“They could not let us fly due to lack of Hawa’s medical report. They have asked us to get the report before we can fly,” he said
The singer is yet to receive clearance to travel to India.
Hawa has been ailing for sometime without proper medical care and earlier this month Diamond offered to pay for her full medical treatment.
