Bongo star Diamond Platnumz while wishing ex Tanzanian president Jakaya Kikwete a happy birthday wrote him an emotional outcry.
Diamond said that since Kikwete left presidency the music industry in Tanzania is being mistreated and that they are nolonger seen as important.
“BONGO FLAVA GODFATHER…. WE LOVE & MISSING YOU….Vijana wako leo tumeambiwa Hatuna tena umuhim, hatutakiwi tena kwenye Kampeni…Hatuna tena thamani…what can we say? sawa tunashkuru, ila Tumeumia,” wrote Diamond.
Earlier this year, Tanzanian ruling party said they will nolonger use bongo artiste during campaigns as was the case in the past.
The Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) Secretary General Bashiru Ally, also said the ruling party will not have a budget for musicians in their 2020 general elections campaigns.
