Tanzanian songstress Lady Jay Dee has revealed that she came close to taking her own life a few days ago.
The ‘Yahaya’ hit maker took to social media to reveal that she was contemplating ingesting poison.
Jaydee said she only restrained herself after looking back and seeing how far she has come.
“Jana nilihisi kunywa sumu ila kabla sijafanya nikajisuta na kujikumbusha nilipotoka na kujiuliza nitakuwa mjinga kiasi gani,Nikajisikitikia tu kisha nikaacha. Na leo bado nipo kigumu gumu ila bado nipo,” she tweeted.
Depresion and mental health is a topic rarely discussed prompting many suicide incidences.
Renown deejay, Avicii took his own life a few months ago giving rise to a world wide call to address mental health issues.
