Legendary Kenyan hip hop group Gidi Gidi Maji Maji on Saturday reunited after a 16 years long break for an electrifying show in Kisumu.
The hip-hop duo are among pioneers in the Kenyan hip hop scene having shaped Kenya’s urbane music and dominated the airwaves in the early 2000s.
Julius Owino (Maji Maji) and Joseph Oyoo (Gidi Gidi) took the stage by storm at the Twaweza Live tour in the Western Region.
Fans were thrilled with some of the duo’s famous hits leaving them singing along word for word.
From Atoti, Unbwogable to Ting’ Badi Malo, the crowd sang along with artistes who were joined on stage by Jabali Africa on the drums.
So could this be the return of the legends? Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
