Ghetto Radio presenter on a mission to reform Kenyan prisoners

Ghetto radio morning show presenter Nicholas Cheruiyot popularly known as King Kafu is set to kick off the third phase of his charity event.

Through his Mfungwa ni binadamu initiative, King Kafu aims at inspiring reform among prisoners in a bid to steer them from crime.

“I want to visit all prisons across the country to inspire change among prisoners especially those who are set to be released. I want them to know that there’s life away from crime. I also want them to know that someone still sees them as human.” He said

Kafu, a reformed armed robber, says he is glad his life took a different turn simply because someone believed in him.

In 2016, Kafu visited Lang’ata women’s prison to speak change and bring hope to the prisoners.

This August 25th Kafu will be visiting the Industrial area prison through his mfungwa ni binadamu initiative and is seeking your help to make the visit a success.

The presenter says he is in need of toiletry material (Detergents,toilet paper, Bar soaps, petroleum jelly) slippers, Public address systems, clothes, Water tank,shoes as well as snacks.

Kafu has been working with Ghetto Radio and musician Juliani since he started the project.

Other people who have supported the initiative include, Former member of parliament Benard Mutura and Mlango Kubwa MCA Patricia Mutheu and Pangani MCA Peter Wahinya to help give love to the Inmates.

Well wishers and fans can drop off for all the contributions at Ghetto Radio offices at Security building off Park Road Ngara.

“Whatever it is you can be able to give will be highly appreciated you be Blessed let us come together to share the love.” He adds
