A host of journalist have left Nation media group this year alone with the most recent departure being Nimrod Taabu’s exit.
The 41 year old is among the station’s veteran journalists having anchored Swahili news for the longest time.
The news anchor will reportedly be joining Citizen TV as Kanze Dena’s replacement following her appointment by President Uhuru Kenyatta as the Deputy State House Spokesperson.
Taabu’s colleagues Jane Ngoiri took to social media to send their best wishes to him as he leaves.
“What an emotional day it has been. I can feel the void in my heart. I still have tears in my eyes…errr balancing tears is no joke. I never thought a day would come to say Goodbye. Nimrod Taabu has being more than a colleague; a Best Friend. When I joined NTV in 2012, I was star struck by this guy who I watched and always wanted to do News with…and when I met him…we just clicked. Our chemistry on TV attracted eyeballs, we connected with viewers and it has always been fun working with NT. Nimrod Taabu; May the Almighty God Bless you in this New Chapter of your Life,’’ wrote Jane Ngoiri
Nimrod joins other top journalists who have left NTV this year including; Linus Kaikai, Larry Madowo, Victoria Rubadiri, Jamila Mohammed and Enock Sikolia.
