Comedian Eric Omondi on Monday night took to social media to caution youngsters against drug and substance abuse using his elder brother as an example.
Omondi who shared the story of his elder brother for the first time, asked young high school and college students to stay away from drugs.
As it turns out, Eric’s older brotherJoseph Omondi is worryingly hooked on substance abuse to the point it is affecting his functionality.
The comedian revealed he has been tracking his brother who has a tendency of dodging his family members so that he could slip back to drugs
.
He said his brother Joseph Omondi has been in and out of rehab, and that his substance abuse problem dates back to his days in high school.
“Because of his addiction he has a tendency to run away from us to avoid Rehabilitation. I tracked him yesterday through a taxi guy who spotted him in Nairobi downtown along Nyandarua Road” he wrote
Omondi went on to express thanks to his friend Chipukeezy and NACADA who promised to help his brother.
