Dennis Itumbi has today congratulated celebrated Citizen TV Swahili anchor Kanze Dena after she was appointed by President Uhuru Kenyatta as the new Deputy State House Spokesperson and Deputy Head of the Presidential Strategic Communication Unit (PSCU).
Itumbi who will now be reporting to Kanze Dena, said that he was happy with her appointment.
Through his twitter account, Itumbi sent out a congratulatory message to Kanze as she prepares to take up the new role.
“Welcome to @PSCU_Digital – Madam @KanzeDena. You have our support and we are happy that your appointment makes the team stronger. With your entry communicating the Presidency just became easier and am sure more effective. Karibu sana,” wrote Itumbi.
Journalist Munira Mohamed has also been appointed as the Deputy Head PSCU and Head of the Presidential Library.
In a statement to the press, the two women were added to the team t bring diversity and infuse new energy to their dockets.
“The President believes the two women leaders will bring diversity, dynamism and infuse new energy into the PSCU whilst improving overall media relations with external stakeholders,” read the statement in part.
