Vanessa Mdee’s album ‘Money Mondays’ breaks East African record

Tanzanian singer Vanessa Mdee is smiling all the way to the bank after her album ‘Money Mondays’ broke East African record in the number of sales.

The album was named the most played and sold in East Africa by music app Boom Play which posted the a congratulatory message to the singer.

Hongera nyingi sana kwake @vanessamdee kwa kuwa na albamu namba moja kwa mauzo na kusikilizwa, ukanda wa Afrika Mashariki nzima ! Wewe kama shabiki wake mkubwa uliyewezesha hili, tunakupa pongezi pia na endelea kuipa support “Money Mondays” kila siku!” said Boom Play Music Tanzania. (Many congratulations to Vanessa Mdee for her number one album in sales in the entire East Africa, and to her huge fans for earning her this tittle we give thanks continue to support ‘Money Mondays’ everyday)

The petite singer was also overjoyed by the news and took to social media to appreciate her fans.

Money Mondays’ was released on the 29th January 2018. The extensive 18 song track list features collaborations from the like of Reekado Banks, K.O, Mohombi, Casper Nyovest, Joh Makini, Juma Jux among other artistes. The album was produced by Nahreel from Navy Kenzo, Ekelly, Tahphha and Bob Maneck.
